The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This sassa status is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The assistance point designed for intervention ordeals a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people read more who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to help the servicing of all clients and enhance use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
